Nomination Process

The nominations for the 2023 edition of the TOP 100 Professionals in Aviation & Aerospace will be open from July 8, 2023, to TBD (Probably August/September/October), 2023. Pineapple EMPIRE invites industry professionals, colleagues, and peers to participate in the nomination process by identifying individuals who have made significant contributions to the field. Nominations can be submitted through Pineapple EMPIRE's LinkedIn page (see: here).

To submit a nomination, simply click the button below to share this post on LinkedIn or send us a private message, mentioning the nominee's (Men, Women, and/or we’re also doing Teams this year) name and providing a brief description of why they deserve recognition as one of the TOP 100 Professionals in Aviation & Aerospace. It is important to include the hashtag #Pineapple23Aero100 in the post to ensure proper identification.

The Process

we strive to keep the Top 100 purely community-driven. In the spirit of diversity and inclusion, we actively follow #aerospace and #aviation trending posts and connect with individuals who are actively using these hashtags. We believe that every professional, regardless of their career stage, has something valuable to contribute.

How is the list ranked?

To determine the rankings, we employ a fair and transparent approach. Nominees' last ten post reactions are averaged, with the nominee achieving the highest average claiming the top spot. In the event of a tie, the number of followers is taken into consideration. Our aim is to create a list that highlights not only those with a large following but also those with compelling stories and insights to share.

Why not rank the Top 100 by the number of followers?

We purposefully choose not to rank the Top 100 solely based on the number of followers. Our goal is to provide a platform where anyone with a great story to tell can be heard. We believe that influence goes beyond follower count, and it's essential to consider individuals' impact, expertise, and unique perspectives.

In an effort to create a more effective value stream, Pineapple EMPIRE is experimenting with a new approach. Instead of three separate nomination iterations for TOP 100 Women, TOP 100 Men, and TOP 100 Overall, we will perform 1 nomination iteration for TOP 100 Overall and generate all three from those nominations.
